The name Aaron is a male name. The name Aaron comes from the Hebrew origin. In Hebrew the meaning of the name Aaron is: Lofty; exalted; high mountain.

Biblically, Aaron was Moses' older brother (and keeper by God's command). He was first high priest of the Israelites, remembered for the miraculous blossoming of his staff or rod.

Before I looked up that actual meaning of the name Aaron, I knew it was a very special name, and Aaron had much responsibility in the Biblical days.

If I were to choose a nickname for Aaron, based on the meaning of the name, I would choose "X"—short for exalted. Best wishes! Deborah-the busy bee.

Are you trying to pick your own nickname? Usually they just "happen" someone for example a little kid--maybe mis-says a name and its cutely said, therefore it becomes the nickname.
Why not just let one ---happen?
