i think I have probably have had similar experience to Darkblue. I know I am at least at 10 treatments and probably 80 - 90% done. I am very happy with it. it is expensive. I think when I get my face done it is like $400 per session at my dermatologist. It works anywhere you have hair....though I will warn you it does kind of hurt, especially the first time you have it done. It feels like a very bad rubber band snapping on your skin. And if you don't have high tolerance for pain, use this numbing cream that doctors can perscribe.
I believe between my face and my stomach I probalby have at least $3000 - 4000 involved. And will probably spend about another $800.
The only side effects I can really think of depend on you. I have very sensitive skin and scar very easily. and if you have somebody who is not licensed and experienced doing the procedure they can burn you. My first experience in 1998 left me with an infection and 2nd degree burns on my face due to allergic reaction with the numbing cream and too high of a laser setting. This eventually scabbed up and went away. But I had a scabby face for about 3 weeks. I do go to a dermatologist for the procedure who knows me and my skin, so in case something happens he knows what to do. Laser is also not good for dark skinned people. The laser can actually cause loss of pigmentation in your skin. Which is permananent. Ideal people are dark haired, light skinned.

I had it done 6 years ago on my neck and the hair is still gone. My wife had her bikini area and under arms done and her results were also very good. The key is making sure you are a good candidate and going to someone qualified. I would recommend going to http://www.HairRemovalForum.com and getting a complimentary consultation with someone listed there. The entire provider directory has had positive surveys from previous customers.
You can get it done anywhere but you should probably avoid nose and ear treatments and eyebrow treatments can be dangerous as the laser is attracted to melanin and there is melanin in your eyes.
The cost is generally $50 to $500 per Tx depending on the size of the area treated and you will need 4-6 Tx to remove 95-99% of the hair with a good provider.
Good luck.

i done it...i had 17 sessions !! to get rid of my facial hair....its 80% gone.... it was too time consuming and expensive!
dont think of using a razor....i dont know what woman in her right mind would use a razor on her face....maybe a shemale.
waxing is a better alternative for body hair....
laser hair removal doesnt give u skin cancer thats a myth...people who tell u that dont have much knowledge on it....these are different kinds of lasers that are being used for acne, wrinkle treatments and hair removals...just do a good research on this before u jump to any conclusions...

its actually not expensive or dangerous you can get it pretty much anywear but certain parts of your face, the only way the wont do it is if your skin is really dark or if your hair is lighter than your skin. It takes about 6 sessions every 3 months. The results are perminant, and no it cant give you cancer

What I have read from laser hair removal.... it needs to be dark hair. Light hair is not targeted by the laser...
No side effects....

I'm sure it is expensive. Most things that involve skin and lasering things give you cancer.
Waxing and shaving is a lot more natural and friendly to your body.
