Your period does not change when you become sexually active, but your period does go away when you become pregnant. In fact, that's the first sign for many women that they are expecting.

If the thought of pregnancy scares you so much then abstain from sex until you are married.

No form of birth control is 100% effective. And most birth control will not protect you from STD's either.

Your period should not change just because you've started to be sexually active.

Just about any kind of stress can make you a little late, so don't freak out yet. Wait another few days and if your period doesn't come, take a pregnancy test. If you test negative, wait another few days and retest again if your period still doesn't come. If you keep testing negative and no period, go see a doctor. Things other than pregnancy can disrupt your cycle, like illness, infection, or STD.

And if you don't want to get pregnant, you need to be responsible and use birth control EVERY time you have sex. You don't always know when you ovulate, so you can't assume that you're safe.

When you start having sex, your period could change. Mine did.

Take a test. They are super cheap, especially if you go to the dollar store. They're all the same. If you're late... just take it. Then you know.

ITS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE! you can have all the symptoms in the world and be not pregnnat or have none and be pregnant!

good Luck!

The only sure way to tell would be to do a pregnancy test. Most clinics will do them for free if you can't afford to buy one. While you're there... pick up some condoms.

Anytime you have sex without a condom you can become pregnant...best thing to do is use a condom or a form of birthcontrol.
