That's exactly right. Some people think supporting the troops means calling those who oppose it names. What right do these people have to call the anti-war groups names when they are so opposed to even having their taxes raised two percent to pay for this war? We'll have to ante up sooner or later. As long as it doesn't cost them anything personally, they're all for it. Most haven't even considered having to pay for this war.

Isn't that the whole point of the volunteer military? They fight so I don't have to? I served my time in uniform, my brother did a tour in Iraq, and my uncle is over there right now. I think about them quite a bit, but the best way to honor their sacrifice is to live my life normally. And if that means going to the mall, well, so be it.

True. America is at the mall spending Bush tax cut money that has been devalued by those very cuts.

Very. We view the war through the sterility of our television tubes from a very comfortable 5000 miles away.

It sure isn't 1942.

I think it would be even better said if it said that . . . America IS at war, they're just not savvy enough to know who the enemy is or why it is so important.

Very true.

We're only doing what Bush told us to, right?

No sacrifice by the populace, only by the armed forces.
