I heard there is a phenonmen a lot of people and writers talk about, like one called divine matrix of the universere where when you really wish for something, it will become true.
But I'm currently in spat with a friend and I tell them its not this force, but being psychic that determines that you think you wish for.
Case in point ( and this is a small-scale example):
I'm at home and I wonder about a friend who never calls. About less than five minutes later, she calls.
Now, did I "will" her to call me, or did I "sense" she would call.
So, what to you think it is around us?
Force that can be manipulated or Psychic energy?

I can not see how both can exist; it would make things confusing.

It's the law of attraction at work. The thoughts we think send out energy into the universe. Think about someone and they will unconsciously receive that energy. Often, the "universe" or "psychic energy field" or whatever label you want to give to it, will arrange things so that this person you think about will appear in your life within a few days and although it "looks" like a coincidence, it sure feels like something else. Doesn't it? That's because there IS no such thing as coincidence. We attract all of our experiences unto ourselves through this law of attraction. Not necessarily in the literal sense. You wouldn't consciously attract say, a car accident or other negative event, but having many negative thoughts over time, like everytime you get in your car you think about how many "bad" drivers there are on the road, and you may very well attract that into your experience. Say you get up in the morning "on the wrong side of the bed" and one thing after another goes wrong. Well, it all started with that one thing, which you "proclaimed" was a bad day. And so it was. You can turn it around, in fact and say, well that happened, but doesn't have to mean the rest of the day is toast. Your attitude has a lot to do with determining what kind of experiences you attract.

I've listed some suggested reading material on the subject if you're interested. It has sure improved my attitude, my experiences and my life, all for the positive!!!

The subconscious mind is a deep, mysterious and wondrous thing. The 'collective consciousness' that you hear so much about falls under the same category... how did Mahatma Ghandi manage to have an entire Nation oppose British rule in a non violent direct approach?! We don't use our full mental capacity because we are not taught to. We are taught the litteral approach to everything-- we are taught that half of 8 is 4 and so we don't see that half of 8 is 3 as well-- one has to learn to think outside the box to enhance 'remote viewing' capabilities. Our ancestors knew how to use these abilities, that is why they could see stars without telescopes and could make accurate calendars thousands of years ago.
Recently a Genetisist was in the news for making 2 ground breaking discoveries, each were rated at about 1 in a million chances of finding-- so how did he do it --an interviewer had asked-- "I just kept going in a certain direction because it just felt right" he replied.

Troy M has the right of it. There is some interesting speculation about whether or not human brain neurons might, in some way, be capable of interacting with local quantum fields, but it's only speculation.

Its neither. Probability and Quantum Phyics determine events. Your friend calling is a coincidense. There has never been anyone claiming to have these powers that hasn't been proven a fake .. or a exeriencing a mere coincidense.
