bring him to the vet- he can get you some antibiotics. Try to keep his cage as sterile as possible. If the mouth rot is large, you are usually screwed by this point.

Yup, you need to take him to an experienced reptile vet. It needs specific antibiotics and mouth rinses. It can be fatal if left untreated. It is usually caused by poor or inadequate living conditions. Igs need: large cage, basking platform, heat lamp (100F at basking spot), UVB reptile lighting within 12 inches and changed every 6 months, a large pool of water to soak in, and a fresh salad made up of multiple vegies, fruits, and vitamins daily.

I also have a water dragon who at the instant had a case of mouthrot and that i took him to the vet. It wasn't too intense priced merely the vet appointment and the medicine. They prescribed the Baytril and a calcium complement and he's been extra powerful ever because of the fact. i could tremendously propose the vet flow to, despite the fact that if it instruments you returned in elementary terms a splash.
