Has anyone experienced more intense morning sickness in their second pregnancy? NOTHING seems to relieve it. I've tried eating small amounts of bland food at a time, drinking small amounts at a time, eating crackers, etc ... I just can't keep anything down! I'm 10 weeks ... this has been going on for about 3 weeks now but has been getting progressively worse.

Anyone else experience this? Any advice?

I'm in the same boat.

This is my second pregnancy, and the all-day sickness is unbearable. I'm 27 weeks right now, and while most of it has subsided, I still get queasy every now and then. (I never got sick during round one!)

During my first trimester, my doctor put me on Promethazine suppositories, and that didn't even help on some days.

What helped me most of all was SOUR things.... Sucking on a Lemon Head candy (if you get Preggo Pops, they're similar, but more expensive) was a great relief.

Oddly enough, the old stereotype about pregnant women and pickles is true for me. I found that sucking on/slowly eating a dill pickle took away some of that nauseous feeling. Tomatoes with a tiny amount of salt on them worked too. Maybe it's the sodium, and it helps an electrolyte imbalance. I don't know... but it worked for me, maybe it could for you too.

My co-worker is 14 weeks, and I suggested that she get some Sea-Bands. She thanked me for days, lol!

Everyone woman is different, each pregnancy is too, and you'll have to figure out what may work for you.

Good luck!

Hopefully, this will pass for you in a just a few short weeks!

I'm sick with all of my pregnancies and this is the 4th one for me. I know how bad you feel and how miserable it is. If you really can't keep anything down, you might ask your ob or midwife for a prescription like Phenergan or Zofran.

Or you can try Dramamine over the counter - it's more mild.

Also, have you tried the Electronic Relief Bands?

Another remedy - 50 mg of B-Complex (with B6 included) morning and night, taken along with half of a Unisom tablet. This is a very old and safe remedy but it might take a few days to a week to see results.

Hang in there, at 10 weeks you should be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel in a couple of more weeks. It shouldn't last forever.

Every pregnancy is different, it isn't just about being the second pregnancy.

I had no morning sickness with my first, with my second I was sick for virtually the entire 9 months, and with my third I only had mild nausea for the first trimester.

Try putting lemon wedges or lemon juice in a water bottle - enough to really make the water tart. Take frequent small sips throughout the day. It worked for me, it might work for you!

You should start feeling better in a few more weeks, hang in there!

I had real bad morning sickness, in the morn, noon and night. You can try eating a cracker before getting out of bed in the morning. It is also safe for you to take an over the counter syrup for neasua called Emertrol. It helped me most of the time if I took it soon as I started feeling sick.

Every pregnancy is different as I'm sure you know. Sometimes the first is easier, sometimes the second is. If ginger and other at home remedies don;t help you may need to call your OB. They can prescribe something to help you at least keep water and SOME food down. You can become dehydrated very fast.
