Cause I just looked at the articles they showed about the whole chicken abuse thing and it said "KFC suppliers torturing chickens"
And the suppliers aren't part of kfc, so that makes kfc pretty much innocent (except for being part of eating meat and all that). So why the hell are people protesting KFC, when they should be protesting suppliers like Tyson? KFC sure is putting up with a lot of bull.

When did I say I support KFC? I'm a vegan. And KFC HAS to buy from the venders, or they lose billions of dollars. Right? No. I don't like KFC anymore than you do, but I was just saying it wasn't them that beat the chickens. And the suppliers would keep abusing chickens even if KFC did stop buying from them, KFC isn't the only place that buys from the suppliers. So it would accomplish NOTHING for KFC to stop buying chicken from them.

and I hate those people by the way. I personally think anything with a brain and lungs is equal. It's absolutely disgusting and sick what they're doing to them.

Alright then, KFC should demand that the suppliers stop. That much is true. Thanks

It's not always the purchaser that has power, the suppliers could refuse to give chicken to kfc if they say anything, so that might be the case. I don't know all the facts. But thanks for your opinions, I think I learned a couple things. Kfc still sucks though...

One thing that KFC can do is to ensure they buy chickens from producers who have the best living conditions.
I don't know how true the allegations are. KFC can no doubt send people to investigate.
Actually there have been social actions such as the boycott of Taco Bell and McDonalds which influenced these companies to persuade their suppliers to treat the workers better.
Maybe you can educate the protesters. Write an essay and send to be published. If you know the truth, share it.

Well...think about it. KFC, as the purchaser has power. IF they demanded a change, if they said they would not purchase 'tortured' animals, then their suppliers would change their practices. It's a market thing. Why would Tyson care if people protested them? KFC is the ones giving them the money, not the consumers. The way to get them to change is by putting the pressure on where the profits come from and that is KFC. KFC, further, is far from innocent. The law recognizes this principal with accomplices to crimes. You may not commit the crime, but you can be held accountable. Say, for example, there is a child labor shop down the street, but you shop there because it's cheap knowing full well that they are breaking the law by employing children. You can be charged with a crime. Now, Tyson is not accused of criminal acts, but the principal applies.

I'll tell you who is putting up with a lot of bull- the chickens! As a business, there is a choice to where the product you sell comes from. There are farms that raise their chickens humanely. It's not like KFC doesn't have the money to research other options. They continue to purchase inhumanely treated chickens because they can. The only way to get these big companies to listen is to threaten their cash flow. If people don't buy it and are vocal about why, then maybe change can happen. I don't feel one bit sorry for KFC.

from my understanding, kfc doesn't actually have any chicken production facilities. they do purchase them from suppliers. the kfc's in our area purchase them from tyson foods. and i agree, if they are so outraged, they need to educate themselves and protest the right people.
the tyson production plant we have locally does not treat the chickens the way it was displayed in the documentary. i have family and friends that work there and have been in the plant many, many times. if the conditions do indeed exist in the plants in the documentary, they need to be shut down. there is a humane way to slaughter.
and before i get slack, face the facts. not all people are going to quit eating meat so don't let the statement about "humane slaughter" get your undies in a wad

If this is the case, KFC should look for a different supplier for their chicken product they order.

They're knowingly supporting animal cruelty by buying from their supplier.Go on KFC's website and it says they ACTUALLY care about animal welfare, yet they still support animal cruelty, that is why PeTA is proteasting them.PeTA was protesting Mcdonald's and got them to actually implement animal welfare and to buy 5% of their products from more humane farmers.

KFC does not use real chickens. All the chicken you eat are tube chickens. They don't have a head or feet, they are just grow by a tube and when they are ready (in a few weeks) they unplug them and ship them. Sounds kinda matrix right. Too bad all the crap we eat is not real anymore whether it's a tube grow chicken or a cow fed steroids it's all fake and nasty
