My wife and I have been married 10+ years (monogomous too). We have never used condoms (***** control early on and now her tubes are tied). She has never had a reaction to my semen. About a week ago we had intercourse and I climaxed in her as I nornally would. The next morning she said her vaginal area was very itchy and irritated. After a few days it subsided. Not wanting to rush things we abstained from intercourse, but she being the good wife gave me oral. When I climaxed, some of my semen got in her eye and the rest on her breasts. Shortly after cleaning up we noticed her breast area had broken out in hives and her eye was swelling. She took some Benadryl and seems to be okay now. Is she allergic to me? Is it possible to develop an allergy like this? It was never a problem, before.

It's possible to be allergic to semen, but rare. And I don't think you can develop an allergy to it out of nowhere. It could easily be something else. Perhaps your laundry detergent is bothering her, that would irritate all of those areas. I'm allergic to almost everything and almost always have a rash of some kind. It can develop after friction to the area, so it could be her soap or something else and after sex and after rubbing off the semen on her breast, she might get more irritation. Keep an eye out and have her write things down, like if she is using anything new and when she get's rashes. You'll have to try a few more times to know for sure, so have sex a few more times and do oral a few more times and see if she get's the same reaction.

She could very well be allergic to your semen. Semen is very acidic. People can have localized problems after immediate contact with semen. They can have burning, pain and swelling that can occur for long periods of time. Typically it affects the outer vaginal area, though it can also affect the inner area. Some women describe severe burning and pain, where it feels like 1,000 needles have been injected in them at one time. Some people can have a systemic response that involves trouble with breathing, hives and swelling.
