I know that seawater is probably heterogenous, and that the oil-vinegar mixture may be hetero. as well, but i just wanted to verify my responses.

The rule is: a homogeneous solution is always uniform and transparent.
mixture of oil and vinegar salad dressing: heterogeneous
seawater: homogeneous once you precipitate out insoluble solids/ liquids
soda pop: homogeneous when you put it there for a long time till no bubbles, heterogeneous when there is any bubbles.
