Mine's private because I don't want the experiences I've read about on the Answers suggestion boards - hate mail, weirdo stalkers, etc.

Open. I didn't have much use for it until I found myself answering the same questions over and over, so then I just blogged my advice and now I cut and paste from it.
Plus I have a few pictures of my kitties and one of me where I actually look good and am not identifiable.

If you have private stuff on there, keep it private. Mine is set to private after I had that person come in and copy some of my stuff.
