Cats. They live to at least 15, many into their twenties.
With dogs, it depends on the breed. With pedigrees, the smaller the dog the longer its life expectancy. Crossbreeds generally have longer life expectancies. The longest lived dogs are either crossbreeds or maybe chihuahuas, these commonly live into their teens.
I think the oldest dog I've yet met was 19, but I've met many cats in their twenties. Oldest was 25.
Also if you check the Guiness Book of World records, the cat has the record for longest lived, at something silly like 36. Oldest dog was in it's 20s I THINK.

Generally, cats do. It depends on the size of the dog on it's life expectancy (small dogs 10-15 yrs vs large dogs 7-10 yrs). A cat that is well taken care of (up-to-date on vaccines and vet care and kept indoors) can live 15-20 yrs, sometimes longer.

"
Life expectancy is based on averages. Actually the average lifespan of any dog whether purebred or of indetermine descent is between 10 to 12 years of age. However individual breeds may have shorter or longer average lifespans depending upon their breed. For example an Irish Wolfhound has a lifespan that is on average between 6 and 7 years of age whereas a toy poodle or Lhasa Apso is going to have an average lifespan of 12 to 15 years of age. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has an average life expectancy of between 10 and 12 years. And then certain individual dogs may exceed their breed's average life expectancy and others will fall short. This will usually be determined by many factors such as how the dog is cared for and the genetic makeup of the dog, whether it develops any health problems along the way and so on. Just like in humans."
"The average life expectancy of cats is 15 to 19 years."

I'm sure there has been research on the subject -- probably available on Yahoo! So, in a case like this, I'll take a shot at a jungle cat -- the lion, for which, specie for specie, cannot be touched by the dogworld. The lion has, as I recall, has no natural enemies. The whole premise, of course, has to exclude poachers and sub-humans like Michael Vick.

It relies upon on which variety of canine you're asking approximately. Cats oftentimes stay around 15 years, so they might have an prolonged lifespan than maximum enormous canines and with regard to the comparable as small canines.
