i had a virus on my laptop. I used my sisters boot disk to re-install windows xp because i bought my computer from a pawn shop so it didnt come with one. the thing is...now my computer wont get online. It's not reading that i even have a modem or anything because when i re-installed with her disk, i erased all my drivers for my wlan and modem and things of that nature.... what do i do?

Get on to Dell web site, and register your Laptop with Dell. They will be able to provide you all of the drivers needed for your laptop as well as the operating system.

You are in a quandry. You can't get driuvers because you can't get online, and you can't get online because you can't get the drivers.
Go back to your sisters computer, go to the Dell website and download all the drivers to make your laptop a laptop again. Burn them all to a CD, take them back to your laptop. You can find the exact drivers for your laptop by searching for them via your Service Tag number. (small sticker somwhere on your laptop)
Now take your sister to lunch for letting you aggravate her.

go 2 control panel /add & remove hardware.
