I have a Honda CM200T that after running for a bit from time to time will dump oil from the front left portion of the engine block. Looking at where the oil comes out it looks like a hole that belongs there. I'm guessing it is some sort of pressure relief, but would love to find someone who knows better than I. Thank you, Eric

After the answer posted this afternoon I thought it would be a great idea to post some pictures so everyone could see what I was looking at. You can see the pictures by visiting: http://www.stainedshirt.com/cm200t.html

This definitely doesn't look like it's missing a rubber cap. Looking at the pictures I think it looks more like it shouldn't be there. Any thoughts?

The right and bottom center picture -
That hole shouldn't be there.
The cylinder is damaged.
Someone used a screwdriver to pry the cylinder off.
Without replacing the cylinder, you might get away with installing a new cylinder base "gasket" and goop up the area with liquid gasket.

I had a 1978 Honda XL350 that had a pressure relief thing on the left side of the engine. It was covered by a big rubber stopper.

See if you can find pictures of your motorcycle's engine's parts online. There might be a rubber thingie missing. There might not. I don't know.

Edit:
Guardrailjim is right about this one.
