And if so, which kind of work, or which studies.

Fair question Lionessa ;-)

I create dance-theatre performances, I perform, I teach, I have my performing space and a group for each project...extremely badly paid by the way, the arts are no business (lol). At the same time I am working in my Choreography dissertation and looking for a Phd, I discovered I love to write as much as I love to create on stage ;-)

Rebirth...forgot your new nickname and Leyla: I ask, because after being posting here for six months, I am curious, no hidden agenda

Jackal, you could have been more creative
Doc, ok that was funny
Mantis, you are so funny

p.s. Who always gives thumbs down? This is just a simple question and there are not right or wrong answers. unless someone insults me (lol)

tehabwa, you are right, I will not be able to choose a best answer with this question, as I would be unfair...and by the way, I love your answers you don't have to be a regular to be remembered in here, quality not quantity is what counts :-)

Fail? I didn't know anyone was being tested? And honestly, what does it matter? Why are some of you guys so stuck on the title of an online forum? What do you think will change about the forum if the over all name is changed, or you guys get your own 'personal' forum? Either way it goes it will still be accessible by everyone with a Yahoo account; so nothing will change.

I am retired lol. My husband has retired 3 times but we both keep on working. Right now we are apartment supers. Not bad small building really nice long term tenants. I have three wonderful grown children that I really enjoy and I have a ten year old granddaughter that is a huge part of my heart and my soul. Although I only have a high school education I am continually educating myself. That is one of the reasons that I enjoy this forum. Learn something new every day. I have a few great friends that I love to have a laugh with most of my life I am very satisfied with. The parts that I am not I am working on. 57 years old and still a work in progress lol.

What a wonderful question...we get to see a different side to all our 'friends' here at GWS!!!

As for me...kinda boring. Left the Toronto area almost two years ago, and now living in Nassau. I sold my business and am a stay at home something....not a mom. I have six dogs and a cat and I'm pursuing my dream of writing. I've written four novels, without any aspiration of publishing...maybe just don't have the nerve to face that kind of rejection. I love creating characters and lives and stories...giving them words to say and attitudes...and then weaving their stories together in one page turning mystery! LOL.

In the last few days I've entered into conversations with a friend to start an online business...but a long way off from getting anything off the ground.

I'm an engineer. I design & draft stuff all day. I work at least 45 hrs a week. i'm wanting to move into architecture more though. possibly natural building methods.

also i have my own home business in which I hand draw architectural renderings for advertising purposes, from construction drawings of homes & buildings that have not yet been built.

i'm also studying middle eastern dance. my martial arts training is on hold while i'm pregnant (which actually has me in all sorts of healthy pregnancy & childbirth classes--several hours a week). and i've been going to random housing issue conferences in the area. (oh, and home improvement classes at the local home depot, since i just bought my first home)

well I work about 45 a week in graphic design / art for a print & mail brokerage. I am 8 weeks prego with my first child, but plan on returning to work after my 6-week leave.

I also enjoy pluckin tha gui-tar, singing and writing. I have been singing (very erratically) with a local group of mostly close friends for about a year now.

you might ask what brought me to GWS... well one of my closest gircas is a feminist majoring in women studies and politics. so it was curiosity that brought me to this forum, and all the lovely personalities that keeps me comin back!

I am a student, majoring in English. I also have a minor in Business administration and I will have a minor in Spanish before I graduate. I'll be very, VERY employable :).

And I also work for my university. I'm a parking ticket writer. It's pretty cool because I get to be outside for several hours, walking around enjoying the day. The later in the year it gets, the nicer the job gets (until it gets REALLY cold...then it will suck).

I work about 32 hours a week at my regular job and then go to school where I also work in a psychology lab. We study language development in children ages 5-12 and are currently studying SLI. In school I am going for a B.A. in psychology.

No one ever mentions me, so I'm not sure if I count as a "regular" in this category. (That's what comes from spending time in a lot of different categories; no one ever names me as their favorite poster in any of them!)

At the moment, neither.

My friggin' temp agency hasn't had a thing for me in a month. I'm about to pursue other temp agencies.

Most of my working life I've been in publishing, more specifically, on educational reform.

When I was a student I assumed I'd go on to a PhD, but didn't. My BA is in philosophy, my interests varied.

So, how are you gonna pick a Best for this question?

;-)
