No pasta like spaghetti, its too hard to eat. No finger food either - its very hard to look classy while eating french fries. Soup is not a good idea either.

Try an entree salad, mashed taters, some of those Golden Corral mushrooms YUM, fruit, maybe a roll its ok to eat that with your hands, and when you go back up for seconds, get a small piece of cake and a few cookies. Dont go up for 3rds. Have fun :)

You will impress your teacher if you eat something that is healthy and easy to eat. You don't want to order anything with a messy sauce or something that requires major cutting on your plate. A safe, sophisticated choice would be a dinner salad made with a chicken cutlet. It is your basic salad but on top of the greens would be some chicken fingers or a chicken cutlet, no bones, and easy to eat. Good luck.

My advice would be to just be yourself and forget about impressing him. The harder you try, the more likely you'll be to spill your food on your lap or choke on it or sit there with food between your teeth all night and realize it later on... and so on...
Salad can be really messy and hard to eat, so you might find yourself hunched over your dish trying to cram in a piece of lettuce that's too big for your mouth or something. If I was trying to impress someone, I'd just stick with things that are bite-sized and easy to eat. Golden Corral is not a five-star award winner or anything. Usually around here it's mostly populated with minorities and senior citizens because it's inexpensive and you can eat all you want, so don't sweat it. There's so many things there that you're bound to find something you like. Just find something you enjoy eating and have a good time.

Anything from the menu will be fine. Choose something in the middle to low price range. More importantly, choose something that is easy to eat. You don't want to get in a mess with ribs, spaghetti and things like that. Eat slowly, and perhaps skip a dessert.

Golden Corrall is not exactly fancy, so just enjoy yourself. Your teacher will be more impressed by your interesting conversation and how you treat your fellow students.

Your teacher does not care what you eat, what he wants is intelligent conversation, trying to impress him by eating the right stuff will only show that you are shallow and superficial. No matter what you order, always remember that such dinners should focus on the subject of conversation rather than the actual food.

Why in the world would you care about how you look when you are eating?

I used to have this problem. I used to get self conscious when i ate around girls, but i realized how freakin stupid it was. There is nothing pretty about someone eating. Think about it, you are taking food, putting it in your mouth to chew it up and mix it all up with your saliva so you can swallow it. Then it travels down your digestive system were it is broken down into liquids and gas. Then later on you fart out the gas and poop out the leftovers. Really, find something else to impress your teacher!

Why do you want to impress your teacher? Just order what you like to eat and you won't have a problem! Start off with a salad? how is that going to impress him? There are so many people who start off with a salad!!! What in goodness sakes does it matter?!?!

Eat what you like. Impress him or her with your conversation.
It is impossible to guess what would impress a stranger. You know him. People who are answering you question do not.

You already impressed him or her with your grades.

Ok Girl who obviously has a crush on her Teacher,
I'm sure that you Teacher is more concerned with your grades not you appetite. Eat a sensible meal that you will enjoy. Don't eat Spaghetti on your first Date. That is an unwritten rule I learned a long time ago.

Wow.

You know what the -best- way to impress someone is? To be yourself, no matter what anybody else thinks. Do you honestly think he's going to be that thoroughly examining every single thing you put in your mouth? Of course he won't! Really, the things that you think are so important in high school don't mean much after you graduate. He's graduated.
