Well, Conditioner without Shampoo would make for some greasy hair (not silky and smooth).... so I'll go with Shampoo if I had to choose only one! .... BUT I can't really go without conditioner, I need both. I use 2 conditioners (one in the shower that rinses out, and a leave-in afterwards) and it's still difficult to get all the knots out of my hair in under 10 minutes!

Look u cannot compare between shampoo and conditioner, because u have to apply shampoo for washing ur hair. It is necessary for washing the hair, which u cannot do with the later. But conditioner is also useful , because it gives a silky and smooth effect to ur hair. But according to me washing the hair is more important. Regular wash will prevent ur hair from dandruffs.

They are both important. You need shampoo to make your hair clean (unless you like the greasy look) and you need conditioner to make it brushable (unless you like yanking your hair out by the roots every time you brush it.) They can't be compared, that's like comparing apples and oranges. They do completely different functions.

I shampoo once a week to wash my hair but every other day i rinse my hair just using condition.i find to much shampooing dries my hair, and this way suits my hair best.

Conditioner opens your hair folecules. Shampoo cleans. Condinitoner does too but its not necissary. But it better if you have long hair. You don't need alot either.

If you can only afford one, buy the shampoo. Conditioner simply enhances the effect of washing your hair, and you can skip conditioning more often than you can skip washing.

Shampoo, because it makes your hair smell nice and clean and not like dog crap.
