I would like to go out to the movies this weekend with a boy, but i don't wanna tell my parents that i am going out with a boy. Can you help me with an excuse to go to the movies this friday? The movies that are currently out are: the brave one, the kingdom, Sydney white, Bratz, Resident Evil eviction, and the game plan if that helps. Thank you!

The best excuse gets 10 points!!

If you lie you should expect to get found out. Parents find out just about everything. If after you've given it a great deal of thought and you still think this short-term plan is the best solution then tell them you're going with a friend or that you're going to bible study or something.

Why don't you want to tell your parents? Usually parents appreciate honesty.
You could just say you wanted to go to the movies and leave the boy out, maybe mention a friend or something, but lies that get found out generally have worse fallout than truth.

Also, I've noticed that questions that promise an easy 10 points to the best answer often end up in voting. Not saying this one will, but I'm a tad skeptical.

Your going to have to tell them some time. Why not now unless you never want to see that friend they don't like again. And you might get surprised they might start getting more involved with the person you think they don't like just to find out why you are there. Best of luck

I don't know why you don't just say you are going to the movies with a friend. If that's fine with them you need not elaborate but if they ask with who, then give the boy's name. If you don't consider it a "date" then it's just two friends going out same as if it was a girlfriend. I don't advocate lying to your parents.

I don't see why you shouldn't tell your parents. Ideally, you want to tell the truth all the time, and if you don't want someone to know something, just don't tell the whole truth, but don't lie. You can say something along the lines of 'Oh, I'd just like to see Such-And-Such.', if that's not good enough them simply tell them the truth. Lying to your parents generally isn't a good idea.

first of all, i think it's not good that you are going to lie to your parents and the best thing to do is be honest with them.

but if you must, just say you are going with a group of friends and have a friend pick you up.

The absolute BEST excuse, beleive it or not, is to tell them who you're going with, but say you're just friends.
