Some women leak a little colostrum (pre-milk) during their pregnancies, but not all. You won't make true breastmilk until a few days after you deliver your baby.

When your milk "comes in" after the baby is born you will definitely know. Usually the breasts get hard and swollen and very tender.

If you don't see any leaking during pregnancy it has no effect on your ability to breastfeed. Just has to do with how each woman's body responds to hormones.

Well, I can tell you from personal experience that right around the time I was as far along in weeks as you, I began to leak colostrum. I still continue to, but every woman is different. It by no means indicates that you can't breastfeed if you don't leak colostrum until after the baby is born. But true breast milk will come in a couple days after you give birth anyway.
And, if a lot doesn't show up, don't give up - be persistent. It's very natural to get frustrated, and feel like a terrible mother, but just keep at it, and you'll get there.

Oh, by the way, the leakage for me carried no symptoms, except that when I looked down one day, my nipples were wet, and when I touched the area around my nipples, they leaked clear and/or white-tinted liquid (colostrum).

Good luck, and congrats!

I always got my milk in as soon as the baby was born. A hormone will be released as soon as birth takes place. Make sure that even if you are not going to breastfeed that you buy pads for your bra, because until it dries up, you will be leaking.
