Chocolate, flowers, a gift certificate, for a manicure or pedicure, small things, a gift certificate for a book store, or inexpensive restaurant or just take the person out to dinner. Perhaps a really nice ornament for the Christmas tree, if you both celebrate Christmas.

Depends on how hot your relationship is in three months. Clothes, DVD's, tickets to a concert are all pretty general.
