Rush wasn't talking about out folks in the Military. He was talking about the comments made by a few that washed out of the Military before they had 45 days in. These comments were were negative towards our Military and were reported as if these people had actually seen combat, when infact they never left the States. Some George Sorros organizations made up the propoganda and are currently spreading it. Rush would never call our Military people fake heroes. His radio program is one of only a few that's broadcasted in Iraq. That really isn't something he would say.

Limbaugh did not break the law, near as I can tell (his statements fall under free speech protection), so jail time's nowhere near likely for him. Even if it miraculously made it to court, the defense would probably argue it was a misunderstanding, and the judge would probably agree.

As others have said, Limbaugh's entitled to express his opinions however he wishes, within certain limits. Some would argue that if what he said were illegal, he'd have been put away a long time ago. (He's repeatedly made factual claims that have been discredited by FAIR and other watchdog groups, which he's never substantively - or accurately - responded to.)

So no, Rush is off the hook for now.

First of all, this is the United States of America. We enjoy freedom of speech, in addition to other liberties. If you can't handle that, get your commie butt to France or China.

Second, do not be fooled by the leftist propaganda about the issue. Rush called one individual phony, a phony. And the guy is a phony. He never served in Iraq and told lies about it. Do you have some problem with someone pointing that out?

Rush supports our military people way more than the anti military democrats do. And we all know it too.

He called one man a "phony soldier". And that guy was a phony. He made a video of himself where he portrayed an Army Ranger who had been in combat in Iraq and came back with great feelings against the war. The guy had never been within a thousand miles of Iraq! Even folks on this YA feature tried to peddle this moron's nonsense as gospel truth until the veterans among the answerers here pointed out the gross inconsistencies in the idiot's story. That's the one Mister Limbaugh was referring to. Fortunately, the liberal Democrats in Congress know that a large percentage of the American electorate operates on juices created by raw emotion, rather than research in establishing the facts. I personally shut Harry Reid up on the business about "illegal wiretaps" when I reminded him, through his staff, that he and the other 99 Senators had voted "Aye" to permit warrantless wire taps for up to 72 hours. They enacted that legislation in Section 314 of Pulbic Law #107-108 at the end of December, 2001. Since then there hasn't been one peep out of his side of the aisle about it.

No he probably wont, but the Democrats will smear him, lie about him, and have him charged with slander. I guess that is the price you pay when you have a big mouth. It is not treason.
