other people interfere with you and your life, your perception of life, your plan for your own life and your expectations of life.. in most cases they will have some negative effect on you and your life.. so hell is other people with some exceptions

Sartre' was an egotist; he was striving to be a solipsist. Therefor he resented and came to hate anyone who disagreed with him even to the point of denying them their right to be autonomous as well. They became a hell to him because their existence challenged his belief that he was the only existing reality.

This may not get much agreement as an explanation but is my belief about his psychology after reading his philosophy.

As I see it Sarte evolved into a sort f misanthrope as he deepened his existential philosophy.
It is my understanding that as part of existentialism, one is responsible to define 'human' through their actions. The actions of others can contradict or trouble the personal definition you are striving for. You cannot 'control' or ever fully understand other people...

It is sort of related to the idea that 'heaven' or 'happiness' are hear on earth now, in the good moments you experience. Hell could also be in the present, and to Sarte, characterized by humanity...
I may be way off the mark though, as I know only the very, very basics about it....(as shown i guess)

He is only partially right. Hell is our own mind or our consciousness if we make it hell. Hell is a place as well and it also can be experienced on earth according to ones karma. Hell is a feeling an experience and a karmic reaction. For all information on hell and karma etc. read Bhagvad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com
