Ones a Windows ME and the other an XP. They both work good still, just taking up too much space around my desk now, especially this 19" CRT. I want them out but not to just give/throw them away cause i wouldn't mind having them get me the money i need to get some good speakers.
Would pawn shops take them? Or anywhere else.. And ya im gonna clean off my hard drives of course before i give them up, the XP hdd is brand new and i never used it so its clean anyway

I would sell them locally on Craig's List
Then you don't have to worry about shipping, you get to show the person it works and then you get cash and carry.

The people there are usually tech savy and are looking for an older computer for a friend or relative.

Another alternative is your local paper computer section.

The new ones are really cheap and have warranties and support, so the "day old cookies" are in the "give away or throw away" category.

I was a product mgr in IBM and was involved in numerous situations where major customers wanted to demo the very latest technology. The condition was that they would be returned in the original containers and packaging. Never happened, we'd get a skid load of junk back.

Anyways, my point is that once that seal is broken on the original container, they are toast.

Try ebay, but the shipping charges may be more than what you get for the product.

Problem with old PCs is despite being in mint condition there value debrades on a daily basis regardless....so it can still be in the original packaging...it is considered the same value as a one with gerber sause spilled and baked on its surface.

You can consider selling off parts of these units like memory, video card, etc to make a few more bux on ebay or seeing what u can get as a whole there too...

If your city has one, you can try a computer liquidator place that may buy it fro you....

One of my teachers needs some fast working computers with Internet on them. You can come to Patrick Henry Middle school here in Houston and ask for a Ms. Rahimian and tell her that Christina Sion told you about our computer situation. As long as they're probaly under about $100 we'll see what we can do!!! Hopes this helps!
