My period lasted 2 or 3 days. Then had unprotected sex with my husband. Can you ovulate after periods?

Yes. Your cycles can vary even if you are usually regular. One month you might ovulate right after your period, or the next month it might be a week or two later.

Some women have even gotten pregnant during their period, though it's not as common.

I'm not sure if I understand your question... In theory, you ovulate after every period. Is your question whether or not you can ovulate RIGHT AFTER a short period? If so, the answer is that it does not matter how short your period was. What matters is how long your overall cycle is. Women with shorter cycles ovulate sooner after a period is over. But any woman can have an abnormally short cycle in any given month. So, if you're wondering if there's a chance you're pregnant from sex right after your period ended... yes there is - but not a very high one.

Yes you can. There is the theory that 14 days after a period a woman will ovulate but women have gotten pregnant on odd schedules.

Very unlikely (to get pregnant just after a period). Ovulation occurs 14 days before onset of NEXT period. Unless your period would come in 14 days (from intercourse), you are NOT pregnant. Unless your cycle is really screwed up, of course. Good luck!

Of course. You can ovulate at any time. The standards are in place as averages. But women are all different and we differ from month to month. If you want to assure you will not become pregnant you must use birth contol.
