Getting the tree. These days, it means Annie picks up the saw at the little booth (grumble) and off we all go, trying to agree on a tree, which may take over an hour.

Making pierogi with my dad on Christmas Eve. We stink up the whole house for HOURS with sauerkraut and mushrooms then we seal 'em up in dough and boil them... then he makes poppyseed cake. After dinner we crack open the sparkling cider and open presents. It's just a Dabrowski family tradition.

Strangely enough, I think my LEAST favorite part is the actual presents. I love sitting around the tree with my family to opent them, though. Also, I make my mom leave up the decorations at least two weeks afterward. No reason to take down season-specific ones, it's still winter!

While the season is going on, I love the decorations and lights and how everyone seems to be in the holiday spirit.

But, the best part for me, is when its over. People spend months getting ready for it, and two days later, its all forgotten, except for the bills.

My favorite thing about it is knowing that it is a pagan festival, so I can avoid it and not offend my God.

Do a little research and get yourself away from this pagan Catholic perversion of the Messianic faith! He will not just smile and say "well done"...you may be the thing that is "well done" if you don't stop it.

Research...Study to show yourself approved unto God.

I like the togetherness- the rest of the year, nobody says 'hi' or 'best wishes' on the street- at Christmastime, they do. Everyone just glows!
