I GUESS you mean the diameter is 36 inches, so it's radius is 18 inches.

Circumference = 2*Pi*r 0r
= 2 * Pi*18 or
= 36 Pi inches

half the circunference is then 18 Pi inches.

The distance across the widest point is the diameter. The circumference (the distance around the circle) is the formula Pi times the Diameter.

In this case 3.1416 (pi) times 36 = 113.0976

The circumference of a circle is 2(pi)r

Your radius is 18"

So the circumference is 36(pi)

multiply it by pi

36 x 3.1415926.... = 113.1 inches

And if it's a circle, the width is always 36", it is no greater or lesser anywhere else. If it was, it would be an oval or an ellipse, not a circle.

36" wide = diameter
circumference = (pi)*diameter

circumference of full circle is diameter * 3.14=113.04
perimeter of half moon is 113.04/2=56.52+36=92.52
