I don't remember much about it but I believe it involves a werewolf or some other scary thing and someone gets stuck on the ride. I believe at the end everything us fine but it leaves you hanging about the creature. Something about how maybe it never happened.

It sounds like The Beast by R. L. Stine. There were two books. They were about this boy and his girl cousin that got on a roller coaster and were thrown back into the past. Maybe that's it?
