I am 12 weeks pregnant and choked today on a popcorn kernell. For a few minutes I could not breath. My last pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage, so I am extremely scared. Do you think I have any reason to be concerned that I will have a miscarriage because of my lack of oxygen?

No, you have oxygen running through your veins.. this is how the oxygen is delivered to the baby. You and your child will be fine. Just be careful and good luck with your pregnancy!

Hi there, Sorry to hear you had such a bad day!! Im no doctor or anything but id say your body would have enough oxygen to protect the baby for a few minutes whilst you couldnt breathe, doesnt all your blood rush to the organs when you go into shock?Id say the same thing happens here and the blood would have rushed to the baby to protect him or her!! Try not to worry about it as this could do you more harm but if you really cant out your mind at rest then maybe give your doctor a call and check with them.

Hope this is of some help and good luck with the rest of the pregnancy xx

There is not any such factor as a risk-free zone, there may be regularly a chance of miscarriage and stillbirth in being pregnant, after week 14 the probabilities of miscarriage cut down when you consider that the placenta is absolutely operating now and your hormones return to a typical stage. Don't fear approximately it, every person will get scared, i do not know any mom who wasn't frightened of upcoming ultrasounds and so forth. Your physician by no means listened for the pulse whilst you have been round 10 weeks when you consider that many times at that gestation it is rough to uncover it, it is less difficult from 12 weeks onwards. It's typical so that you can be stressful, the percentages of miscarriage now could be approximately two% even despite the fact that you are by no means particularly risk-free.

i wouldnt worry,as long as you didnt stop breathing for a long time you should be fine,if you didnt need oxygen for yourself ,then i doubt you would have needed it for the fetus,if you are worried i would seek advise from a doctor ,but i think you should be fine

If you didn't pass out, you're probably fine. If you did pass out, go to the ER and have them check you out. (Always a good idea if you lose consciousness... pregnant or not)
