Reich means something like empire and Hitler had romantic notions of restoring Germany to the position it had during the Holy Roman Empire. The Nazi regime lasted from 1933 to Germany's defeat, in l945, in the Second World War.

The Third Reich refers to Germany when Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist (Nazi) party were in control. Hitler was the Fuhrer (leader) from 1933 until 1944 (when he killed himself).

The National Socialist government of Hitler. I think the other two were the Kaiser (during WWI) a relic of old royalty, and the Wiemar Republic, a short lived parliamentary government between the two wars.
