divide both sides by 9
this gives you
d=2.61/9

9d=2.61 You are trying to leave d alone to know its value
9/9d= 2.61/9 divide both sides by 9
d=0.29 Because d is alone you now know the value of d.

D is undetermined. Your variable is "d" and it equals (2.61/9). If you divide both sides by 9, you get 1d on the left hand side (or just plain old d) and the fraction on the other.

I think it is 0.29. You just divide 2.61 by 9 so you can get d by itself.
