Everyone always thinks scholarships, but only a tiny percentage (like 2-5%) of people get any scholarship help to college at all. Unless you are a student athlete or an incredible student, scholarships are extremely minor factors. You would be lucky to get anything, let alone a substantial amount, at any university. The 88% are getting some kind of mixture of loans, grants (if they are low income), work study, and the like.

Expensive private colleges tend to give a lot of money in grants to low income students, because there are caps for most loan and work programs. Most selective schools give 100% of need in some combination of grants, work and loans, and most, but slightly fewer of them give some merit-based scholarships as well.

well I know for a fact that theres Black only Scholarships or Hispanic only Scholarships as well in many other schools. Does that make it a racist scholarship as well? ask yourself that question and ask this question again
