I personally have no preference, i think they are equally good.
I have used both T-Mobile and AT&T and have no problem with either of them.

I've had bad experiences with both companies but T-mobile was better to me up until the end. Verizon is the best out there though.

Honestly i work for ATT, but heres my personal oppinion, neither of them have great customer service, they lack in that, as for Cool GSM phones its pretty much a tie, as for minutes and a plan, T-mobile actualy has better rate plans, and most of the time, dont require outrageous deposits like we do, i dont want to bash my company, but were not really that great, honestly the best in my opinion is Verizon, AWESOME customer service, resonable rate plans, however they lack in the coolnes department, they just dont have a wide varity but in my oppinion sprint has horrible customer service, and also lacks in cool phones.

AT&T works for my. Tried all the others from time to time but have always ended up back with AT&T because of service I get with them. Only ones never had a problem with.

you need to know what your needs are, if you can define what you need from your plan, you can see which can give it to you cheaper.
also check the coverage they provide in your area, one may be better than the other.
and sprint does not have *all* bad customer service! every company has good agents and bad ones.
