I doubt the injury......here are my reasons.....
1. He is scheduled to make a movie
2. Kennedy "hurts" another major superstar (perhaps kennedy push?)
3. Earlier on wwe.com, it mentioned nothing about the injury, just about how he got his butt kicked by orton.
4. Judging by the reaction of his speech, and perhaps the raws ratings, maybe they had to do something with the title...
This seems like convenience more than injury
your thoughts...

This is just a thought provoking question.....not to be taken to seriously....yes I know there are injuries in sports, i.e. mick foley (against vader), sid, sting, etc.....this just seems a little convenient for the wwe....

I go back of forth on this. We'll know for sure if they show the surgery on wwe.com like they have with Lashley, HHH, and Edge. Until then...
I think he is hurt, but at a real convenient time. I never thought he would drop the title to Orton because of his link to steroids. Vince can't have a champ right now who's name was out there. It would be a PR nightmare. So that would rule out Kennedy as champ as well. I thought he would drop it to HHH after enough time had passed so we wouldn't think they were just giving it to him.
I heard Cena was making another movie (God help us), but I thought he held the title filming the last movie and just showed up for Raw and ppv's. True, it smells a little like the ole "Cena overcomes unsurmountable(?) odds" crap again, so I'm probably wrong here. Hurt or not, Vince has us talking about the WWE and I'm sure that is part of the plan.

The injury could just another way to make him even more like "superman".He wrestles at No Mercy and defeats Randy Orton, even though he supposibly has a pectoral injury so they can build up his unstoppable gimmick even more. Then the next night on Raw he brags about he overcame adversity and how he retained the title even with an injury. I could see something like that happening. Or it's just another way to get him off the air so he can go film his new movie.

Not at all.. They have utilized the guy to do other work on the side such as (film making) and this whole injury thing is about as real as McMahon's death.. Since the WWE revolves around Cena, now Cena can truthfully claim that he NEVER LOST the WWE championship.. I predict we will see a new John Cena movie coming out sometime in 2008 meaning the whole thing is a setup and Cena is not injured.. Just wait and see..

I notably specific Cena's is for authentic. however the Orton ingredient I somewhat have questions approximately and that i heard a rumor he grew to become into unhappy along with his settlement or some thing purely like Rey, Carlito, ect. yet they actually need the two superstars. WWE can no longer enable TNA to get too plenty firepower and Orton, Cena, and Rey might somewhat be a extensive advance for TNA.

Remember when he faced Umaga at the RR in a LMS Match?
The week before Umaga hit him with a Samoan Splash through a table and Cena suffered a (kayfabe) scarred spleen. The "doctors" told him taht he would be unable to compete, but he still did regardless, and he beat Umaga.
Well what if his "injury" is also kayfabe and just a way to make him the underdog so he can overcome the odds again at No Mercy?

John Cena was injured last night. It was reported that Cena left RAW last night and went to the WWE dr. in GA. It is a legit injury.

Thought;
A.) What does it matter? It's just a show. Whether it's real or not won't effect the stories.
B.) Are you among those who think that just because the matches are pre-decided, that people don't or can't get hurt? It is just a show, but it is a violent one. Guys get hurt more now than when it was "real" (it was, way back when).
