I was playing rugby saturday & went for a big hit, bent my finger right back until it exploded!!! Not pretty! Had internal & external stitches & have no feeling in my finger.
Anyone done this & how long til I can play again?

The hospital say the knuckle (on my index finger) dislocated and the pressure exploded my finger to allow the knuckle come out the other side.
Strange or what?

you may get arthritis in latter life but you will soon be OK its happened to me loads time good luck fella

ohh..thas the first time im hearin a finger explode..btw long time ago..somethin simiar happened to me..i was on a ride, and idk how two of my fingers on the right hand bent so bad tht i cud not even move em..overall it was a fracture..but it later healed, so i guess give it some time to heal and u'll see the good signs later on. Else contact a doctor, if needed.

Ow, you may never get the feeling back, I cut the top of my thumb off and that was sewn back on, its there , alive but no feeling, I cant text on a mobile anymore.

wow that has stunned me , that must have been soooo painful. I have never heard of this before so cant tell you a healing time but I would suggest asking a doctor or pharmacist.

man, jus thinking about it OUCH!!! I broke my finger once and I was playing volleyball, I was out for the rest of the season.
