First - do well in your school classes. These classes will help prepare you to be a well-rounded adult. And that's important to being an actress, because you'll know more about life, other cultures, etc.
Next - get involved in drama classes or clubs in school. Try out for the school play. Take ANY part you get offered, whether you're in the choir, or just part of a crowd scene. Work hard, and know your lines flawlessly.
Join the school choir AND band. You may never play an instrument as an actor, and you may never sing, but the training and discipline that both give you will be invaluable.
Learn to dance. Look for a community theater program, whether for adults or for kids. Volunteer there during the summer, or during the school year if you can. Hand out programs, paint sets, clean the bleachers or seats, sell tickets, volunteer for bit parts. Impress them with your skills and hard work.
Did you notice that every one of these suggestions has "hard work" as part of it? There's nothing more important. You'll only get so far with talent and looks if you're lazy. Look at Paris Hilton - she's got the looks and money, but she's mostly known as a bimbo. You can do better than that.

start out by acting in a school play or community theatre.
then start checking around to see if there are any open casting calls to be an extra in a movie or television show. there are websites that list open casting calls.
community theatre is a great way to get your "feet wet" and to learn the ins and outs of acting. best of luck!

Cool is not a good thing, seriously it isnt. All it does is get u into trouble and life at ur age is hard enough, dont start by acting fake and trying to be something your not. Br yourself, not what everyone else pressures u to be
