drugs, down with authority are now the same people who are trying to ban smoking all together, tell people what they can and can't eat. Seems like it was ok for them to break all the rules, but now we have to be told what to do....

Not all of us. Some of us are still Hippies and vehemently anti-war. You should have been there! It was wild, it was care free, it was sexy (just loved the flower children), it was gutsy (we took on the world), it was drug infested (heroin was prime, LSD was great, Bush became a drunk, his friends pot heads), the Viet Nam War was wrong, we burned draft cards(draft is illegal), some escaped to Canada. The world was seriously messed up all because of the US (nothing new there), race rights - race riots (the Black Panthers, Black Like Me), Kent State (be careful), Volkswagens, Flower Power, Jeans (covered with daisies), Peace Marches (Peace sign), hey man, sit ins, sex ins, mini skirts, Janice Joplin, Beatles (Imagine), streaking, Jimmy Hendrix, Landing on the moon (some still claim it was a hoax), Jane Fonda (just love her; gutsy woman), Dead Soldiers(58,178), April 30, 1975(US kicked out of Viet Nam; a crises for the South Viet Namese left behind)

But you are right. Too many seem to be backing this insane Iraq war.

Don't do what you're told. The ball is in your court. Get out and protest Bush's war. Come on; just do it.

Because we grew up. We tried it all, free love, mind expanding drugs and all that stuff so we know what it did to us and we don't want our children and grandchildren to make the same mistakes we did. After it was over, we realized what a BIG mistake we made. And yes, I was one of those rule breakers. Now I know how stupid I was.

The purpose of learning history is to not make the same mistakes as those who came before us.

No, as a matter of fact the hippies I knew in the 60s who were into flower power, free love and all that are now hard core conservatives. Those who condemned those very hippies have softened and are called liberals today. My how things change. Things do change but you wouldn't understand that because you see the world as static and not allowed to change. The same old black and white, right or wrong world that is the same today as it was in 1956. Ah yes, Howdy Doody, Leave It To Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet. Those were the days.

Different people, same breed. The free range liberal. If you listen close you can hear 'em: "Do as I say, but I don't have to..." Your right in your observation.

Yes.
The un-bathed doping hippies of the 60's have now turned into the "holier than thou" liberals.
They want to ban smoking and coffee, and whatever else they feel is not good for us.
And.........THEY ARE STILL UN-BATHED.
