This country is NOT financially driven into the ground. Who told you that?
Morally, this country began declining in the mid 1960's and has fallen steadily since then. It was the left wing that caused that in the beginning and it is the left that promotes it today. they call it "tolerance".
"Cowboy values" is a silly term dreamed up by the democrats that really just didn't stick to anything.
In fact, real original cowboys had very high values and you could definitely stand on anything they said. They were widely known to speak the truth, stand by what they said, and treated people fairly.
Hope this helps puit some light on the truth for you.

If the definition of "cowboy values" is "I go by what I believe to be the facts, not what the facts really are."; then YES, gwb's cowboy values have both divided and hurt it financially.
When it comes,to morals, I don't believe gwb actually has any. Go watch Pinocchio, puppets don't have morals.

Don't you mean "urban cowboy values"? Bush is not a cowboy, he is the son of a successful Connecticut businessman, beaureacrat, and a politician. His accent is an affect and the only cowboy in him is that he owns a ranch... anyone with tons of money owns a ranch. Ask any retired airline pilot in Wyoming. Bush is like John Wayne, he is just playing a cowboy.
Let's not degrade cowboys... these are hardworking, salt of the earth people.

No not cowboy values, more like most Americans care more about themselves and what they think there entitled too than there country. Financially we are ok, morally we are doomed because Americans don't care. Judges and Lawyers rape us at every turn.

Driven into the ground? Let's see, Financially - Stock market at record highs, unemployment at record lows, prosperity blooming. Morally - President not bedding interns.
I think you're about 180 degrees off base.

The U.S. is not "in the ground financially" don't know where you got that incorrect info from. It is the liberals who have driven the country into the ground morally that is obvious.

I'm sure not all cowboys are conservatives or Republicans.
