Forget The Police, Justin Timberlake or Bruce Springsteen. The undisputed hottest concert ticket of the year is for 14-year-old pop star Miley Cyrus, star of the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" TV show.

Don't worry about it dude, Hannah Montana will quickly become unpopular and those timeless artist like The Police and Bruce and all them will rise to the top once again. So I'm just gonna wait till people start saying "Who's Hannah Montana?" And enjoy my Police concert.

Look, I know the ticket prices and all the stuff is insane, but, this is geared for tweenagers. The same people that are going to this show are not the same people that are going to be going to Police or Springsteen shows. Miley Cyrus isn't going to disuade any kid from growing up and rocking out; in fact, it's much more likely to encourage it. On top of that, the kid does actually have some talent; and once she gets out from under the Disney umbrella, who's to say that she won't go on to do great things.

Yes i really think that is a problem- but you have to remember
it is all about the money now days- my first concert was Kiss back in 1977 in Ft.Worth Texas $10.00 for a seat and $15.00
for a floor seat and moving on to 1988 10 years later i go see
Motley Crue and White snake at Reunion Arena in Dallas and get a ticket for a whopping $20.00 now move on to 1999 when i go see Pink Floyd in Texas Stadium and get a ticket
for $35.00 every thing now days is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY
who cares right

Yeah I heard that on the radio this morning. Sadly, teens control most of the sales of movies and music because they have so much money these days. Adults have to spend their money on bills, groceries, and if you have kids you probably give them allowance. But teens can just go out and blow their money on CDs and tickets. That is why crap music is always the hottest music in the country. It's why this dumb teen bubble-gum singer that I've never heard of is selling more tickets than some of the biggest legends in music. It's why Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys have releases among the top selling albums of all time, and much better artists don't. It sucks, but it's the way of the world.

This isn't new. It's the same kind of show as going to see Disney on Ice. It's more about the television show live then about the singer. It shouldn't even count so much as a concert as it should a "musical performance."

don't forget the top selling album (or cd for you youngsters) last year was the soundtrack from High School Musical.

one simple reality...kids nowadays are more likely to go to a concert than they were say 25 years ago. .... and why is that???
........because the adults now were denied concerts by their parents...and they told themselves that when they had kids that they would take them to concerts if they ever asked.....
(just like these parents who give their kids everything they ask for because they were "denied" the same as kids)

my kids beg, plead and try to make deals to go see concerts like hannah montana, high school musical, the cheetah girls, but have yet to convince me to spend my hard earned money on the latest "fad singer".

Jeeze. Stop acting like stupid people with a lot of disposable income are somehow affecting music on a global scale. I know plenty of people who think Police fans paying to see their lackluster reunion shows (not my words) are ripping themselves off just because the name on the ticket happens to be "The Police." The concert-going crowd is not representative of the population.

Ouch..... poor Bruce

The fact that people as talentless as the pop stars we have today are all over the radio should tell you what type of music this world seems to agree with.
It's that dispite the fact that we still have so much good music today (not mainstream though) it's still th epainful whinny pop that makes it on the billboard top 20

IT can truly be said that there are people out there who have more money than brains.

Seriously are there that many people who want to hear what a little girl has to say? We have some amazing literary minds in the world but no let's ask that LITTLE GIRL what she thinks:

"I.....like boys! I have awesome friends.....my Daddy was a hack just like me!"

The popular culture in America today is at an all time low. It is the worst and needs to stop. Bring back reading, bring back listening to musicians playing instruments etc....

I think the world has gone mad!

Anyone with any semblance of musical taste will choose great talent over teeny-bop pop.

Unfortunately, the tweenagers parents will buy their little darlings anything they want ~ even tickets to watch rubbish!
