Hi guys, I want to plan a really fun weekend for my bff's 25th b-day in Las Vegas, NV. She is somewhat cheap, but willing to save. Does anybody know any packages or deals that I could get to have a really fun time in vegas. Preferably @ the Palms resort. Her b-day isn't until January but I want to start planning it now.

It's never too early to begin planning a LV vacation.

You will save a bundle($$) if you go Sunday through Thursday rather than Friday & Saturday night. You also need to avoid special events and large conventions. >There are several during January<

Stay at the Gold Coast, then walk across the street if you want to party at the Palms & or Rio.

I prefer the Orleans, but then you would have to ride their free shuttle(5 minutes maybe) over to the Gold Coast.

Both the GC & Orleans will price match the best rate you can find online. Just call them up and tell them where you found the rate, it takes them maybe 1 minute to confirm the rate.

Sites I use to compare rates.

You can still go to Vegas for relatively cheap...you just have to do some digging. Start with worryfreevacations.com. They charter flights twice a week, year round, and have deals with all of the major hotels. I used them last year and got a fantastic deal on a weekend (Fri-Sun) trip staying at Excalibur. This year, we wanted to stay longer, so I booked air thru Southwest and hotel on Hotels.com (again Excalibur) and got good deals. If you want to travel Thurs-Sun or Sun-Thurs, you can still look into worryfree..those are the only days they fly, though. The Palms is VERY pricey! It's a party-resort, though...not on the Strip, so you would have to shuttle or take a cab pretty much everywhere else (except the Rio, which is right across the street). The Strip is where the party is at, though. I would suggest staying on the South Strip...New York New York, Excalibur, or Monte Carlo are the best priced. You are in the center of all of the action, and can take short cab rides, the Monorail, or walk to pretty much everything that there is to do.

Have fun! You won't want to leave :-)

I must say I too am "somewhat cheap" but have been to Vegas MANY times and never had a problem partying and having a great time. Im not sure what weekend in January you were looking at going but we have gone for Super Bowl Weekend for the last two years and have not had a problem with price. Honestly staying on the strip is a much better idea than staying at the Palms. Its cheaper and you can walk around to the different hotels easily. However we stayed at a resort off the strip this last time and I liked that much better. The rooms where we stayed were MUCH bigger than your typical hotel, but it was like I said off the strip. They have a free shuttle that will take you to the strip and that thing doesnt take long at all or taking taxis are seriously only like $10 if that depending on where you want to be dropped off. We found a FABULOUS rate for our room on Ebay because that resort has rooms that people buy timeshares at and then sell the days they will not be occupying. I think we paid less than $100 each for 3 nights and there were 4 of us. Its called the Grand Desert Wyndam or something like that.

Also as far as clubbing there are MANY many places to go. I have been to several clubs and honestly havent had as much fun at the ones at Palms. We went to Rain the first year and it was cool but not a "memorable" night, other than the fact that I met a guy that gave me money to go gamble away lol. We also went to the new Playboy club Moon and that was ok but there is WAY too much smoke in there. A bunch of guys smoking cigars is not something I go to Vegas for.

Among my favorite clubs are Tao at the Venitan, Tryst at the Wynn and Pure at Ceasars Palace and Light at Belagio, but I actually heard they were going to renovate that place so I dont know if they've already done that.

Based on your question Im assuming you are just going with girlfriends? I ask because believe me it is WAY easier to get in at ANY club if you are with a group of all ladies. I dont think we have EVER waited in line more than 20 min yet Ive had a few guy friends that have waited in line for more than 2 hours! Ah believe me its nice being a woman in Vegas. When we went to Tao there was a long long line and we didnt want to wait and there wasnt a line at the VIP line so we went over there just to see if we could get in knowing we werent on that list but we were talking to the bouncer and he told me something I'll never forget. He said "Sweethearts you are women. You were born on the Guest List"

For one thing, the Palms is not cheap. Tahiti village which is at the end of the strip is offering 4day and 3night free stay at the local hotels if you are willing to go through a tour. I'd call there. They make you pay $130 up front buy you get it back after the tour. for entertainment go to napkinnights.com , they have guestlists for clubs. try the Tryst club, or Club Ra, don't go to the club in paris or asian club. the club in Ceasars is over rated. google free stuff to do in vegas, becasue if its her first time then you might want to do all the free things also, like watch the bellagio fountains, watch the pirates, and check out the animals exhibits. HAVE FUN, VIVA LAS VEGAS!

definite definite & definite! i'm sorry i've got not got lnks yet properly suited off the strip there is one in all those place for paintball and such. The Wynn has a great golf course as does the pink Rocks wich is off the strip. pink Rocks is likewise nice in case you had to flow cycling or different outdoorsy sort of stuff. that is humorous because of the fact @ first i presumed i could be completely against you asserting 'No way a bachelor celebration in Vegas!" yet now i'm thinking in case you coordinated it with the ladies bachelorette celebration..why no longer? as long as no in the back of the back stripper shennigans have been occurring... i think of it could be a blast! look into the palms too, great golf equipment, impressive suites and that they cater to the extra youthful sexy & single! in the journey that your men play poker or gamble why no longer try the recent Playboy club? no longer a 'dance or nightclub perse..extra of a front room. and for sure you have the properly-enjoyed bunnies!

You will find better rates if you travel midweek, rather than on Friday or Saturday.
Also, look for smaller hotels (Lake Luck or Imperial Palace)
You only need the room for sleep and showers. You can walk/taxi over to the Palms if that is your choice. For larger strip hotels and flights, I suggest Southwest vacations (www.swavacations.com)

What ever you do stay away from the Tahiti village. It is a dump and you will receive a constant barrage of bullying to buy a share of something or other.
