EVERY day, without fail, I have contractions. They hurt in my lower back, around the front, pressure in the abdomen, and serious tightening in my uterus (every one of the symptoms EVERY time). they start out usually about 15 minutes apart and gradually get stronger and closer together over the next 2 to 6 hours and then they either stop altogether or start easing up in pain and spreading out until they dissapate entirely. Within the next 4 hours the whole thing starts over again. This has been happening for THIRTEEN CONSECUTIVE DAYS now. Is this normal? Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I'm getting really exhausted from it and my doctor won't induce me until next monday. I'm not sure I can deal with this for that long. Anyone have any advice? I'm just so annoyed.

hi hun this is either braxton hicks or slow labor i was in slow labor with my son it went on for what seemed like forever it was about two weeks of constant contractions that never seemed to regulate or go away i had a show a week before i went into labor also so i know mine were not braxton hicks its just that they still say your not in labor if you go to hospital which i always got told "go home your not in labor" it drove me mad in the end i was 12 days over when i did actually go into labor i had no idea as i had so many pains i just assumed it was nothing but a few hours later he was born very quickly
so i know its painful now but just think what these contractions are doing they soften you up which is why i think i had such an easy labor
you don't say how far you are but if your near your due date then this could be slow labor
good luck

You did the correct factor by means of going to the sanatorium, and I'm sorry you left with the influence that you simply don't have long past there within the first situation. It's foremost if in case you have plenty of indicators like that to in and be looked at. I'm definite they a minimum of listened to the youngster's center to ensure they are now not in misery. Something like dilation, there is no option to recognise except you pass in to be checked. You might had been one million cm or four cm + with what you describe. So you probably did the correct factor, however lamentably you are not particularly in labour and prefer they mentioned, it may be the following day or four extra weeks from now earlier than you are able to give. If your water breaks, or your contractions are robust adequate that you simply can not speak in any respect at the same time one is going on (I'm now not definite if that is how painful they're correct now), have any bleeding, and so on, then do not hesitate to return to the sanatorium to be checked once more. Yes, it's viable to have contractions however now not growth. A well pal of mine's water broke, had a few contractions at 40w 5d, however or else did not growth. She ended up wanting pitocin to transport matters alongside. But you continue to have weeks earlier than your due date so there is no rush to urge. Good success. I can best suppose how dangerous the ready is at the same time having contractions. I'd additionally recommend giving your OB a choice and allow him recognise what is taking place and ask him for recommendation on if and while you must return to the sanatorium. I'm doubt I gave you a entire record.

I'm 35 weeks and have been having painful contractions for about 4 weeks. I have been to the hospital 2 times because they have gotten as close as 4 minutes apart. Both times the doc told me to dring a lot of water and rest with my feet up. they do eventually ease, but have never really gone away. I hear you about the exhaustion. I get so tired from them. Atleast you have a light at the end very soon... I have 5 more weeks... One good thing that my doc did say is that the more you have "warm up contractions" before the baby comes, the more inshape your uterus is and it cam help shorten your labor... we'll see, I'm thinking that half an hour will be enough... Good luck to you!

I don't want to alarm you and I probably shouldn't wven say anything about it! But I did the same thing. I even went as far as to be dilated 4 cm. for 2 weeks! I went into labor with bad hard pain several times and by the time I got to the hospital~it was all gone! But I was dilating! When my water finally broke 9 days after my due date they had to do something! I did the same thing after my water broke. Lots of pain got dilated to 6 and then everything STOPPED the doctor realized then that the babies cord was wrapped around his neck and HAD been for at least 2 weeks!!! He took us straight to sergury and by the grace of God we were blessed with a perfectly healthy baby boy!!!

I don't want to alarm you, but maybe you could have them check for it if things get worse for you....

i had that with my second pregnancy. sporadically. it happened once about 2 months before i was due and lasted for a couple weeks. the contractions were so bad that, if i was walking or standing, i would have to stop and hold on to something so i wouldn't be brought to my knees.

it went away after a couple weeks then came back a couple weeks before i was due and would last for a day or two then go away and come back.

the worst part of all of it was that it wasn't helping my cervix to dilate at all - i ended up having to be induced. but yeah, it's normal.

Been having them for the past week and a half. And I am 4 days overdue. The real painful contractions started about two days ago.

I've been having them for weeks as well. Sometimes they are so bad they wake me up in the night! It's been going on for a couple weeks, but truthfully I have stopped counting.

I am 5 days overdue and I am REALLY hoping to go into labor on my own...but I am scheduled for induction on Friday.

I've been having them for weeks too, and I'm not even due for 10 more days. Eh, I live with it, ya know.
