disappointed because angeris a far more energetic feeling it gives you drive to do things, whereas disappointment is passive and it's more difficult to get past it.

Surely the answer is dependant on the circumstances!

Both have (likely) their roots in the inability to have any control over the outcome that has led to the emotion experienced ~ or a lack of a way of dealing with it with any external healing.

A disappointment has is base from within a likely outcome not expected ~ or not wanted.

Anger, which can of course stem from that disappointment, usually has it roots within a sense of not being understood or not having been heard, and as a result, hurt feelings ~ where unable to be expressed, evolves into an anger.

I can't say which one is worse, not which is better as, again, it depends entirely on the circumstances and on the individual for a subjective judgement.

[ PS: Anger CAN be healing, it can be something of a fire that clears away the dead wood from under foot and makes a path forwards easier to take. ]

Sash.

I'd rather be angry - you can get it all out of your system and feel a bit self-righteous as well. Being disappointed just sucks - there's no positive side.

Anger is the root of all negative emotions, including disappointment.

Personally, I think being disappointed is worse. Because that means I placed all my faith into someone/something and I was let down.

It's hard for me to put all my faith into anything!

Anger I suppose. I get over disappointment quickly, but anger eats at me and I can sustain it for days.

Disapointed. My dad doesn't get angry--he gets disapointed. And when he is, I wish he was angry. You can yell at anger. But there's not much you can do about disapointment.
