Ok suppose they didn’t do it.
These are the things that bother me and why I seem obsessed with them as accused.

1) Why did they state they would help with the investigation as much as possible and then when in a position to do so refuse to answer 40 questions?
2) Why hire lawyers before private investigators? They have only now really started what appears to be a real search for Maddie and this seems more to clear any smear on their names than to find their daughter.
3) Why if this police in Portugal have bungled things don’t they arrest and charge one of their suspects ‘Robert Murat’ whom it was stated was seen on the night of the so called abduction? This would save them all the hassle they are now facing.
4) Why are the British media so pro two parents who left three under five year old children alone in a strange apartment in a strange country when they could have had baby sitters, whom their children would have known as they spent a lot of time in the crèche before and

after the so called abduction.
5) Lastly and most importantly why hot foot it from a country as soon as you are made suspects after claiming you wish to be treated like everyone else connected with this affair.

Whether they killed their own child I agree is questionable, but to say their behaviour relates to anything like normality would be in their words ludicrous.

I think their actions are very questionable. If they were not prominent physicians I believe the media and general public would be outraged that 3 young children were left alone. These people had the financial resources to hire a sitter. They are also well educated and know better than to leave children all alone. They have PR people now working for them..hence the fake sightings which take the heat off them for a while. What about the blood evidence in the rental vehicle they got weeks after her "abduction"? Also they said they would stay in Portugal until Maddie was found but once they were named as suspects they left?? The sedatives report is also disturbing. I think there is a lot of factors that point to suspicion on them.

1, Because Kate McCann was advised not to answer questions, when it was suggested that her bible's crumpled pages indicated her guilt.
2. The only people who could find Madeleine if the police stop looking, are the parents. And they could only do that by staying out of jail. They've left it to the police and their expertise. Obviously a bad move, if they are innocent.
3. I don't understand your third question.
4. Because the child is missing. It isn't about the parents, it is about the child.
5. If the McCanns had been found to be lacking, social services would have removed the twins. The parents had the reasonable assumption that their child was safe, and so she would have been, if evil hadn't entered the picture.

I couldn't agree more. I have never had an opinion on their guilt or innocence, but I believe that some questions, like the ones you have just posed, need answering. Once that had been done, I could make up my mind, because this case is nothing but a mess at the moment, and the McCanns aren't helping their own cause by throwing accusations around at every opportunity, or grabbing every photo opportunity with both hands. There are some questions which, if we had the answers to, would clarify a lot of things for a lot of people.

Excellent question, have a star!

I have to admit, I haven't been following the story closely, but it does sound extremely unusual. The one thing that has always disturbed me is that they would leave such young children alone in a hotel room while they went out. It seems that they are otherwise intelligent people, I have seen complete idiots use more sense in caring for children than that...
I just hope that Maddie is found, hopefully alive, but if not, then with enough clues to find out the true story.

The 3rd question is the one I understand. Ceaser..some have said the McCanns are being framed..Kate said it, her family and friends have been quoted as saying it and some supporters here on YA. If they wanted to frame someone they could have easily gotten this over with when they dug up Murats yard. They could have planted dna there and some have said they planted the dna.

Come on let the issue rest for a moment, jeez, I hope that dear child is resting because the rest of us are bombarded with this crap, what will be will be and if Mr. and Mrs. are involved, they will be judged. God Bless.
