I have been divorced twice and of course it was sad both times. but my second husband and I are still good friends and are trying to keep it that way for the kids. I can tell you that its much harder to move on and leave it behind that way there was immense sadness with both but ending it is easier when your able to be really pissed at the other than when you really still care but its clear that it could never work.

Who says that a divorce is "wrong"? Divroce is not always a "bad" thing. BTW there ARE divorce cards out there, not neccessarily through the Hallmark company but they have them in Spencer Shops in malls and online.

Yes, absolutely. Even though I know divorce was the right thing, it was still sad that the love we once shared had soured so badly.

Of course there is. No one gets married thinking they'll get divorced! Be sad, work thru the phases, but don't dwell. You will have alot of different emotions. But be confident in yourself, all will be ok.

of course. i've been on the verge of filing a couple times because of my husbands substance addictions (he keeps TRYING to clean up his act...) but then i don't cause i don't want to throw 30+ years away when theres always a small glimmer of hope......

I think in retrospect, yes, there is a certain amount of sadness, there's bound to be,,,even if one is hesitant to admit it..

I would be really sad if it didn't work out, but...
It's better to have loved and lost, than to be stuck with a jerk you can't stand.
