I can`t see the files that were present on external HD.though the properties displays otherwise.SEE THE PIC?

Hi. Try clicking on the last icon on the left. Then select "Details" and see if they show up. Good luck!

the first thing i would try is to shut down then reboot if u havent .. with the drive on and plugged in ..
