If, (and lets just say 'if' for the sake of this question), every cow on this planet broke wind, let rip, farted, bottom burped, simultaneously, would the build up of methane gas cause an explosion if a naked flame was introduced to the equation?

well if all the methane gases didn't catch on fire.. BTW for those of you asking where the fire is, think about this. At any point in time on earth there is a fire somewhere. May be small or a campfire or a roaring inferno but there is fire. Anyway. 1 cow produces more greenhouse gasses than a car. So there's you're global warming. It's not fossil fuels. It's roast beef fuels. So within a few months the earths temp would increase drastically. I'd dare to say about 15 degrees. Ice caps melt, water , fire, drought, solar radiation, death. The end.

It would also make the standard day a few seconds longer or shorter by effecting our rotation.
But that is silly. Where are we gonna get a naked flame? (By the way, where can I get some pictures of naked flames on the internet?)

I really think that is about to happen any day now, and I don't want to be on this planet to find out what exactly the consequences will be.
We had better start to drop to the floor and hope for the best, but that won't really help us will it??

My dogs knows my sons name. I ask her to find Oskar and she runs to him. It's probably because he's only a toddler and I'm constantly saying his name, and were at home most of the day so she's hearing me call his name a lot :)

In the same way that humans can light their gases, I would imaging that it would burn while there was a supply of fuel and air. Not sure you would get an explosion.

Apparently the cows don't break wind, they are burping.
Just thought that was quite interesting.
Fortunately, cows don't smoke !!!
