Anybody, expert or not, know ANY type of anime i can cosplay as? The thing is that this will be the first time that I'll be making a costume. So here are the things: Im a girl, i have mid-back long hair which is really dark black, im 5'2.5, and im really skinny. so if any of you people can think of who i can be and/or any costums that i can make, id really appreciate it. Oh and if the character has diffrent color hair, but their clothes are easy to make, it wont matter, ill just dye my hair or wear awig. :P

You should be Rin! She is the zodiac of a horse in Fruits Basket. She has long black hair, beautiful, and skinny. I think she is around your age for cosplay.

If you're slender, I think you'd make a very good Rei Ayanami, from Neon Genesis Evangelion. (She was only supposed to be 14, so a lot of the women who cosplay her look too mature.)
You can find pictures of people cosplaying Rei on Flickr. They usually show her hair as light blue, though I happen to prefer it darker blue, if your hair is glossy black a blue rinse would do well. You can find costumes for her on line or just go to onemanga.com and look at her outfits in the NGE episodes. Lots of peo-le like the 'plugsuit' because it's form-fitting, but the school uniform one is popular and easy to make. You are the right height for her, too. (She is supposed to be 5'1, and a lot of the women who have cosplayed her are way too tall, which doesn't help the image. )
You'll need red contact lenses, too, because that's what color her eyes are.

I don't really have a suggestion for who you could be, but I did see lots of cosplay stuff for sale on eBay. Maybe you could pick up some ideas or even some accessories there. :)

you should totally go for the Chun-Li (Street Fighter) or Princess Kitana (Mortal Kombat look. That'd be bomb! I'm being Pyramid Head from Silent Hill btw.
