a new experience is always a great way to discover things about yourself. The place that you've visited obviously put you in a state of utopia will always remain special to you, but if a new Paradise would only add to your choices of vacation spots. If I were you I'd would take my chances with an unknown location. Worst thing that could happen is you find you didn't like it and then a new lesson is learned. Not to mention you'll have a new story to tell your friends and family.

Just from seeing and reading from books and online, I've
always wanted to see the old gold rush towns that are linked
together on old highway 49 in northeastern California. Calif-
ornia has been good about keeping alot of their old towns
restored to warrant more tourism. There are many remodeled
to house modern wares for sale. It's become very spendy to
visit them, due to shop owners charging high prices, and
restaurants doing the same. There are even a few resort
hotels tucked in among all of the vintage buildings with the
western look. But I'd like to travel though that area and see
what remains.
I would also like to visit my best friend, from my army days.
She lives back in West Virginia and we haven't seen each
other in 45 years. It would be tough to make a decision
between the two. I might have to flip a coin to settle it. I would
like to see what W. Va. looks like as well.

goldwing is right...I went back to Memphis and it was a total bummer. But...I'd have to say I'd choose home. Home is kinda like children..unconditional love (hope it would feel the same about me!) I'd like also to return to Mexico City..probably the best time of my life. Jerusalem, of course. Can't really think of a place I'd get all excited about going to. Actually, just getting to the big city 30 miles from here would be nice..but there's a bridge I'm deathly afraid of....so I won't drive there. (and the best mall is right past it).(Can't believe I used to fly over those bridges) O...I 've ALWAYS wanted to go to NEW YORK CITY....downtown !!! at Christmas!!! (or Thanksgiving Day Parade there) (just so the store windows are decorated for Christmas)

I guess that I'd have to say visit somewhere that I've always wanted to see. I've tried returning to beloved places and am usually disappointed. I think it has something to do with an inability to step into the same stream twice....

I would love to visit somewhere else I have always had my heart set to see, only problem is,we are broke and I would not live off of anyone Else's plan for their poor, and if I had the money to make it, I would not come back to the U.S. to ever live again. I have my secret dream and for me that is good enough for me to think about or dream about.

definitely the new place, as We will do next spring seeing all the states east of the Mississippi River..we have visited all of them west of the Mississippi, so time to expand our travels to the east coast. We will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and travel for 4 months..now comes the hard part, choosing what to see in each state..

What I have always wanted to see...the other..been there, done that, and there is always the chance that the return will NOT be the experience you had hoped for, damaging the memory of a great time/place. I have had that happen to me too often in life to go backwards again. Goldwing
