All reality and laws of the universe aside:
I'd love to invent a perpetual motion device. Free energy of this sort would solve a multitude of the most serious problems facing the survival of our species.
I would love to see an effective program to control the human population growth too. This is a tough one though.
It would also be nice to have some sort of energy drug that reduces obesity while decreasing the amount of sleep necessary.
Who wouldn't want to be able to fly? Flying people would be cool, no?

I would invent a mind control device whereby the planet's population (excluding politicians), would be rendered with non aggressive tendencies.
Any politician desiring expansionism, war on account of greed would therefore, need to fight their own battles.Hopefully, they would soon decimate themselves.

It's a good question.Ask it in one of the real Science categories, maybe engineering.All you'll find here are ghost hunters and wise-guys.Myself,if it were possible,I'd invent an anti-gravity device.Something enabling human flight.good luck with your project.
