SATURNMAN: Of course - and corned beef and tomatoe sandwiches at 4 o'clock for tea! I think you might be a little generous about our war efforts - I think we were on a sticky wicket until you popped around for tea! So - thank you so much!

Here in northern Michigan (USA, of course), it is getting colorful. But global warming must be real, because we are going to have 80F temps in the next few days. Forty years ago, this time of year would have been about 55F.
I think you Brits are pretty neat. And Winston Churchill is my favorite human being of the entire 20th Century. He stood up to Hitler when everyone else folded. (Even the USA chickened out for most of 1940 and 1941.) Have a splendid day, and don't forget to eat many biscuits and sardines at tea time. Do you still do that over there?

It's in the low 80's today and supposed to be in the high 70's for the rest of the week and then low 80's for the weekend.
Maybe a slight chance of rain. It is getting colder at night, and I have switched to my flannel sheets. I can not get into a regular cotton sheet in the Autumn/ Winter time, it's too cold.
I love my flannel sheets. And I usually have the blanket and spread turned down during the summer and I have had to turn them back up. latley. When it gets really cold during the winter I turn on my electric blanket down low tho. That's when it gets what I call really cold. Like down to 30 in the mornings. Have not had to turn on the heater yet. This is No. Calif. USA.

Over 30 degrees Celsius. And I have all the doors and windows open to avoid using the air conditioners. But, it's high desert and quite within normal for this time of year. Just before Halloween we will get our first "Siberian Express". That's a heavy wind coming from the Northeast and originating in the Gulf of Alaska. I really cools things down in a hurry. I'm fond of telling my friends from elsewhere that we are one of the few spots in the "Sun Belt" where the children go trick or treating in thermal underwear. LOL!

I'm in South Carolina, USA, & today is sunny, breezy, & 80 degrees. Our mornings & evenings are starting to cool down, but the 80 degree temps are here for a little longer. This will be my second autumn here, having moved down from the north a little over a year ago. The cooler weather will be a blessing after having such a hot & humid summer but it beats having those brutal winters up north.

I see by your answers that you have someone from the real Up North of Michigan although for that to be real for me, I have to be over the Mackinac Bridge. I live in lower Michigan, Ann Arbor and the weather down here was cloudy and windy and about 78F. We have a few colors changing on our trees now and I can't wait for more cold at night to bring out the tree colors.
I must admit that the colors Up North are much prettier than ours down here. We also have less snow. Our temps are warmer though for this time of year though and I guess we should be happy for that as now that we are in October, it can go downhill at a blink of an eye.

Our weather on the western side of the states in Washington,
has dropped down to the mid 50's today. It is very cold in the
morning, and we hurry to turn the thermostat on. We also have
to turn it on in the evenings now. We've seen snow has fallen
on Mt Hood, in the distance in Oregon. We were just recently
in the low to mid 70's. So we see the beginnings of the change of fall leaves. They are turning deep red now and
bright yellow I saw on another grove of trees. When the sun
highlighted them, they were almost glowing with brilliance. I
love the Maple tree leaves with their redish orange hues. I
haven't seen any tho yet. Some leaves are still green and
aren't turning yet. I love the colors of fall.

It's supposed to be fall here in N. Carolina, USA, but it's in the 80's still. I'm sitting here in a sun dress in front of the fan and the a/c keeps coming on. Things are still blooming. A few leaves have died, but the lovely fall colors just haven't showed up.

Coming into autumn, no it is autumn, and getting cooler. Days are in 60s and low 70s sometimes (degs-F; I'm too lazy to calculate into degs-C), and windy, but temps will get cooler and cold by months end. Most trees have changed color and lots of them have lost their leaves (boo-hoo). Global warming seems to have taken hold even up here in the far north- central USA. Well OK, I live in North Dakota; its a tough place to live but somebody has to. (We're # 50, We're # 50) - sorry, that was with 'tongue in cheek'.
I don't know, winters aren't as cold as they used to be.
