There are several pay-as-you-go type phones. They do not require a contract and you pay ahead for the talk time. They could be called disposable because you can buy them fairly cheaply. The cheapes run about twenty dollars and you can but call timefor another twenty.

You can buy these almost anywhere! Wal-Mart, K-Mart, I've even seen them at Family Dollar.
